Q. Is this a scam?

A. No, this is a new form of marketing that is used by some of the largest, well known household brand names around. Instead of paying thousands of pounds on television and newspaper adverts, they pay companies like Kudos and FreebieJeebies for each new customer that completes an offer when they visit the website. When that person then gets their friends/families to complete more offers, the likes of Kudos are paid more in commission. They (Kudos etc), then reward you with the FREE gift of your choice. They are able to do this because the commission that they earn, exceeds the price of your gift. In this way, everyone wins. The advertiser (Asda, Coral etc) makes money via new customers (you and your friends etc), the affiliate (Kudos etc) get paid their commission, and they in turn send you your gift, which has cost you nothing, if you choose to do the 2 week FREE Love Film DVD rental trial.

 

Q. I live outside the UK, so can I participate?

A. At present, Kudos and FreebieJeebies only allow the residents of the UK, USA, and Canada to participate in the referral schemes.

 

Q. Can any member of my family join via my referral link?

A. Yes, and no. They can as long as they do not live in the same house as you. The Terms and conditions state that there can only be one account per postal address, and, only one account per IP address (e.g. PC). This means that although your friends and family can join, they cannot sign up via your PC. If they do, they (and you), will get your accounts placed on hold, and none of you will get your free gift. Please adhere to all of the T&C's.

 

Q. Can I sign up at my local Library/Internet Cafe?

A. Due to the points mentioned in the answer above, I would strongly advise that you do not do this. Due to the popularity of these schemes, it is highly likely that somebody already has signed up from there.

 

Q. I'm worried about Spam, so can I use false details?

A. No, it is imperative that you use your legitimate details. The freebie sites like Kudos, need to know your correct details in order to send you your Free gift. Besides, the freebie sites take your privacy very seriously.

 

Q. I initially chose one gift, but I have since changed my mind. Can I choose another?

A. Yes you can. Up to the point of actually submitting your account for verification, it is possible to change your choice of gift. Just select "change gift", and choose another item.

 

Q. Can I only receive one gift from the freebie companies?

A. Sometimes, it depends on what sites you sign up with. The likes of Kudos and FreebieJeebies allow you to reset your accounts and start again.
